Cat Mom: Daily Cuteness

Humans have established long history living with animals– pets as of today have provided us endless topics, memories, and happiness. I adopted my cat, Deedee, about 2 years ago at Petsmart.

It was an irrational decision yet one of the most beautiful ones. Cats are easy to take care of, but emotionally they are easy to love and easy to get us annoyed — just like human children.

Research found out that people are much more likely to browse cat pictures online than dogs. The main reason was the unpredictability of cats behaviors that continues to create curiosity and surprises for humans. And my baby definitely did not disappoint me regarding this aspect.

Although sometimes she woke me up at the middle of the night just to pet her, bit my trees, and made messes wherever she can jump up to, I love her with my whole heart.

      Porsche 718 Graphite Blue Metallic

Got my car since October of 2018 and my affinity for it only grows stronger. Before I did the color change wrap 2 months ago, the original paint color was graphite blue metallic.

I found brands to be quite creative (sometimes even funny) with color names just to stand out. For mine, when I was at the dealership I definitely had hard time coming to the conclusion whether it’s a blue or a grey car. Simply put, it’s a graphite blue metallic– aka a combination of both!

Other names I found interesting was fashion grey (Porsche’s version of nardo grey), Miami blue, speed yellow, etc. Anyways, the following are some pictures I took on a lazy Sunday afternoon.

What would be your favorite car not considering the price? Let me know!

We who live in Los Angeles continue to fight against this crazy 100F heat without knowing when is this going to end. But thousand miles away in Japan, the weather is just right.

I have always been a city girl– from Shanghai to Los Angeles my entire life, it sometimes gets overwhelming. In September 2019, a spontaneous trip to Japan happened.

          Destination: Nagoya

Nagoya is a developed, secondary city in Japan that has less population. With its longstanding history, many historical structures remained till today for us to explore and show respects.

As we entered Atsuta Shrine , the peaceful air, the quiet prayers, and the nature magically cleansed my mind, leaving me open to embrace this lightened moment.

As we prayed for God’s protection for health and a better future, we ended our trip at Atsuta Shrine with a yummy black sesame soft serve ice-cream. It’s interesting how we always end tours with some local food, which I think usually levels the local experiences.

          Destination: Toba

Animals are our best friends, so do the ones at Toba aquarium!

The aquarium is not huge in size, but they have the largest varieties in Japan. The hourly live show let us closely interact with the animals. How lovely they are!

Besides the aquarium, the city Toba is also famous for the Mikimoto Museum on Mikimoto Island that is walking distance from the aquarium.

Mikimoto is a world-famous brand for pearls. After making a great fortune, Mr. Mikimoto bought this island in Toba and built the museum for visitors to experience the process of raising clams and taking pearls.

One unique scene we got to see was the “sea ladies” picking up clams from the bottom of the ocean. It was cold and raining but they jumped into the water without hesitation, and skillfully grabbed the clams for pearls.

Recently, I started to make videos as a way to improve my confidence in front of the camera, especially the talking parts. I also found making videos a more efficient way of showing the audience what happened.

July 4th 2019, I traveled to San Francisco from Irvine. The entire trip was a blast with awesome food, gorgeous views, friendly locals, and more. The essence is in this vlog video and I hope you can enjoy it. 😀

Which place do you want to travel to the most if you get a week off!? Let me know your thoughts and maybe I will make it my next destination :D.

                          HERLA Body Oil Review

What’s stopping us from healthy skin today?

Stress, relationships, polluted environment, social life, you name it. The world today is stuffing us with the need to move on, to add extra layers of coverage to protect ourselves from the negativity, and to purchase the unnecessary goods and services just because the social media tells us so.

                          And it needs to stop.

Herla Beauty: what I found about it

It all started after I joined an awesome group for influencers called @joinpalm. And now, I began to get precious opportunities to explore all kinds of awesome skincare and cosmetic products that are popular around the world.

                          Herla Beauty‘s slogan fascinates me:

“We’re here to democratize natural skincare.”

It hits me, instantly. Why? Because we simply have no idea how much our skin is going through on a daily basis – from the time we wake up, add multiple layers of skincare that we believe would work, and put on primer, foundation, concealer – you name it. What’s more, with all that burden, it will continue going through every place we go to, all kinds of bacteria and germs that it cannot dodge from, till we finally give it a wash at night. That is to say,our skin awaits democracy.

Illuminating Body Oil: The Glow You Needed

As my photoshoot inquiries continue to grow nowadays (check here for recent photos), I definitely got more incentives to try out skin/cosmetic products that would give me the healthy glow I needed in art creations. Fortunately, Herla Beauty’s illuminating body oil came in at the right time, the right amount, and most importantly – the right price.

After I received the product in mail, I decided to take the illuminating body oil on a “road trip”– my favorite photoshoot spot in Orange County.

With the sunset softly hit on the bottle, the golden glow was shining in its best form.

Time to try it on! I was so curious abou how the gorgeous glow will transform onto my skin. Without much surprise, it did not disappoint me. The fine shimmer well moisturized my skin leaving no greasy feeling, and the light floral scent left no extra burden to our nose.

According to the ingredients description on Herla Beauty’s website, the body oil is made from:

                          • Sweet almond
                          • Spanish lavender
                          • Shea butter
                          • Olive
                          • Sunflower oil

And here I am, happy and grateful for natural, glowing skin that I was able to maintain, protect, and nourish.

In short, I recommend this product as a body lotion with glowing after effects. It could be a good product to use as moisturizer and body glow for photoshoot, date nights, or even just daily skincare routine.

                          Question of the Day

What’s your favorite skin product at this moment? Share it with me and I will try to give it a truthful review next time ♥️.
